More wine than I could drink

In the last week I have been to 3 wine events. A 30 Pinot tasting at Whole Foods, and HUGE Suncoast Wine Festival, and a Top Ten Wine and Cheese tasting at Whole foods just tonight. The 30 Pinot was fun, I even won a copy of the movie Sideways. However, 30 wines is a lot to taste in one night, and I don’t reallly remember any of the wines. The Suncoast Wine Festival was GREAT! A ton of wine and food from great restaurants. I only remember one wine, Tohu from New Zealand, can’t remember which one. I had some great ceviche from a restaurant Ezra in Bradenton, and some killer crab bisque from Tommy Bahama’s. I really liked the top ten wine and cheese that I attended this evening. I walked away with four bottles, Bogle Merlot, Blue Jean Wine, Yelcho Sauvignon Blanc, and Inbada Pinotage. I highly suggest these Top Ten Wine and Cheese tastings that Whole foods puts on and I WILL be going to the The Suncoast Wine Festival again next year, hopefully with even more people.

Entertainment

I meant to write this on Monday, but didn’t. My weekend entertainment included:

  • The Legend of Zorro : nowhere near as good as the The Mask of Zorro, don’t bother watching it.
  • Kingdom Of Heaven : this one just never went anywhere, no compelling reason to watch this either.
  • The Longest Yard : Some of it was funny, but not really funnier than your average sitcom, so I’d pass on this one also
  • Batman Begins : GREAT! They did a great job with this movie, I really hope they do a sequel along the same lines.
  • Lost : This TV show is so good and had me and my wife so enthralled that Sunday night at 9pm we went out and rented the next disc so we could watch some more. I’ll probably be done with the first season soon.
